Tourism Tropical North Queensland (TTNQ) is the regional tourism organization for the Cairns & Great Barrier Reef region. It encompasses Palm Cove and the Cairns Beaches, Port Douglas, Daintree and Cape Tribulation, the Tablelands and Kuranda; the Cape York Peninsula and Cooktown and the Gulf of Carpentaria Savannah Region.
As Tourism Tropical North Queensland (TTNQ) is the regional tourism organization for the Cairns & Great Barrier Reef, TTNQ identifies five clusters of tourism focus
1. Cairns, Cairns Highlands and the Great Barrier Reef;
2. Tropical Cape York;
3. Tropical Savannah;
4. Torres Strait and Northern Peninsula
5. Tropical Islands
TTNQ’s objective is to build destination awareness in Australia and selected international markets through a targeted programme of marketing activities designed to achieve maximum visitation, length of stay, expenditure and regional dispersal. TTNQ also operates the region’s only Visitor Information Centre accredited through Tourism Queensland, which guarantees the provision of relevant and objective information regulated by strict State guidelines. Thanks to the support of its members and partners, TTNQ has been able to help maintain tourism as one of the most important industries in Tropical North Queensland.
