One of Tropical North Queensland’s most unique attractions Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park offers a showcase of indigenous culture, allowing guests to watch theatrical performances and engage in interactive activities, in order to learn the traditional culture and customs of the Tjapukai people. Experiences include by Day and by Night.

One of Tropical North Queensland’s most unique attractions Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park offers a showcase of indigenous culture, allowing guests to watch theatrical performances and engage in interactive activities, in order to learn the traditional culture and customs of the Tjapukai people.
During the day learn how bush food is used to create medicinal remedies, learn how to play a didgeridoo, throw a traditional boomerang and spear. Enjoy a traditional performance in our Tjapukai Dance Theatre where performers take to the stage and introduce their tribal totems, ancient cultural dress, celebration dances and corroborees.

When night falls Tjapukai by Night offers a whole new range of experiences. Special effects create compelling performances coupled with an international buffet dinner for guests to enjoy.

1. ICONS of Australia cultural combo package: combining an Australian wildlife experience with Cairns Tropical Zoo with an Australian Indigenous experience at Tjapukai which includes our new Aussie gourmet pie lunch
2. Tjapukai with Green Island cultural combo package: half day Green Island day tour with buffet lunch combined with Tjapukai by Night our cultural dinner dance show
3. David Hudson a co founder of Tjapukai and world acclaimed didgeridoo "Edu - tainer" is back at Tjapukai in the position of Creative Director to over haul all our musical and performance programs - to mix tradition with contemporary performing arts
4. Raymond Blanco is on board as our Performance Director to overhaul all choreography, and to give Tjapukai a fresh, new performance repertoire
5. Souvenir digital photos are now available for purchase during the day: on our Boomerang field before you throw your boomerang, with a Tjapukai performer in full, traditional dress and at night: upon arrival to Tjapukai by Night with two performers in full, traditional dress
6. Welcome drink of standard beer, wine or soft drink is now included in the Tjapukai by Night admission
7. Tjapukai is active again in the conference and incentive market: Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park - "a unique meeting place"
8. Canoe hire for F.I.T’s is now available on the Tjapukai lake
9. Additional lunch options include not only the international buffet, though the gourmet Aussie pie, gourmet take away salads and sandwiches
