The US is the biggest, most expensive market media market in the world and Queensland works hard to ensure we gain maximum exposure with out target consumer groups by undertaking focused public relations.

Our PR efforts involve two basic programs:

  • Visiting journalists: Tourism Queensland, working with our partners in industry, host select travel writers and editors to Queensland.
  • Tourism Queensland reaches out to select journalists with information and story ideas likely to gain exposure for Queensland in the American media.

How you can get involved:

  1. Make sure the team at International Media and Trade Relations (IMTR) are up to date with your product. This department of TQ, based in Brisbane, keeps each international office up to date.
  2. Let the IMTR team know that you are prepared to host journalists. Talk to the IMTR about ways to get the best outcomes from a media visit.
